Kindergarten has passed. I have a soon-to-be 1st grader.
The summer is here. My daughter is having fun and finding happiness again.
The pandemic took so much from this little princess and so many other kids. Things are feeling normal for the time being. I’m not sure what the future holds but as for now we’re enjoying life.
Trips to the shore, Sesame Place, Six Flags for the first time, indoor staking rinks, and aquarium are filling our summer days. Upcoming this week, Ana will also be staying in a lake house not owned by someone she knows for the first time. It’s a rental place. She’s beyond excited for her first “official vacation.” Then the week after that, she’s staying in a hotel for the first time to meet her new baby cousin. Life’s good. Also, grandparent sleepovers and hanging out with friends mixed in all the adventures.
Cheer starts in August. My daughter is going to be sleeping, eating, Cheer, and repeat until September when school starts up. She’s excited because Cheer makes her so happy. A dance class will also be somewhere in the mix.
The future of this delta version is unknown. I’m not sure what’s going to happen in our state. I figure my daughter and I should enjoy life because everything is up in the air now. Who knows what September is going to bring.
Here’s to the summer of first and having fun. The school year will be here before we know it, so let the summer adventures continue!!!!
