*All About the Book*

Usborne Books & More’s Dracula book is a graphic novel. It’s an incredible version of the classic everyone knows and loves. The comic-like pictures fill in the story the text doesn’t include. Each page is colorful and easy to follow. The graphic novel is also a fast read and will pull you in.

The graphic novel follows the original Dracula story through the words and pictures. It’s perfect for a high school student who are just discovering the classic. He or she can read Dracula in a different way. College professors could use this book in a Literacy class focusing on Occult stories. An adult who love Dracula could read the graphic novel as well. It’s perfect for anyone 10 and up.

*Our reaction*

My almost 4 year old daughter is too young to understand Dracula, but she loves the pictures. She calls it “mommy’s book” because it doesn’t look like her books. Her favorite picture is Dracula’s castle. She calls it, “spooky” then smile, since she loves Halloween just like me. I can’t blame her because the illustrator did an incredible job drawing out the castle. It has such an eerie look to the other side that pulls you in towards Dracula’s world on the next pages to come. The castle is surrounded with deep snow, which adds a trapped feeling to its structure.

I’m a HUGE Dracula fan. The classic is one of my favorite books. I could read it over and over again. When I first discovered Usborne Books & More had a Graphic Novel of Dracula, I didn’t know what to think of it. I’m really weird about my favorite books becoming graphic novels and movies. I’m always wondering it’s going to meet my standards. I usually have really high standards for other versions. Well, I’m happy to tell you, I’m in love with this version. I could put it down and had to stop myself from finishing because it was late. I highly recommend this graphics novel for all the vampire and Dracula lovers out there!
